This lovely porcelain egg is perfect for the onset of spring. The floral and butterfly motif represent the return of life and beauty that spring brings to us. It's beauty is enhanced by its age, having been produced in 1974 for Avon.
And what woman doesn't dream of the fertility the egg represents? How I long for the by-gone days when every encounter with my husband held the promise of another wonderful, loving child who would be perfect in every way and never grow into a snarling mass of raging hormones in puberty - not!
There are no chips, cracks, repairs or discernible flaws, except that there is a small amount of wear to the 22K band around the lid. The egg is very clean inside with no stains.
Wouldn't this be a wonderful Easter gift for someone special? Or maybe a treat for yourself to lift your spirits after the hard winter most of us have been through.
